The Chancery Lane Project

Lawyers have the power to transform businesses so they become agents for change in addressing the climate crisis. One way they can do this is by adding climate clauses to contracts so they mandate enforceable climate action. I lead The Chancery Lane Project (TCLP), a global collaboration of legal professionals driving the inclusion of ambitious climate-aligned contractual clauses into all legal agreements, to codify and enforce commitments to a decarbonised and equitable economy. Our work over the last three years, has led to the climate alignment of billions of dollars of commercial activity with science-based targets and a decarbonised economy.
